Stylehome were chosen to design, specify, supply and manage the refubishment and update of this commanding property in a stunning location.
Belvedere House had previously been used as a rental property before our clients made it their family home, but now it required being brought up to date with new ideas and schemes. Our Clients wished to do this whilst still retaining some of the existing fittings where it was possible and correct to do so, this would help to speed-up the process and also reduce the costs.
“Belvedere House” is a majestic mock Georgian villa with stunning views directly seaward. The property offers 6 bedrooms (5 en-suite), large kitchen, dining and lounging areas, a Gym and a large indoor swimming pool and adjacent leisure areas – all of which would require a fresh look and functionality to maximise the potential of the house.
Our initial approach was to examine the existing furnishings with a view to incorporating as much as possible. We found means to retain most of the existing window dressings, re-working and improving some whilst adding others to compliment or bring in the colours/textures that were nearer to those that we wished to bring in to the rooms.
Many pieces of furniture and artwork were given new positions and roles to fulfill – but all valid and seamless to the new items coming in around them. A perfect example of this was a superb Roche Bobois lounging sofa system which was retained in the games room but enhanced with new rugs, cushions and side tables in coordinating colours.
Belvedere House has been transformed with quality furnishings and luxury in mind for the perfect Cornish escape. From the moment you arrive you immerse yourself in the unique style and contemporary elegance of living, dining and kitchen spaces.
Each Bedroom benefits from its own palette of soft colours, giving each an individual theme and separate interest. The Lounge and Dining Rooms utilise quality Italian design and style to set a high level of finish. Mixed colours were used for the Dining Chairs to add some fun where as the colour scheme for the Lounge is sophisticated and mature by design.
Mixed colours are utilised again in the Games Room, Swimming Pool and Gym but this time selected from Citrus colours to give energy and contrast. All fabrics and furniture surfaces combine style with practicality, glass tops are used extensively to give practical, easy clean solutions that will last and look good for years to come – essential for a hard-working Holiday rental property.
